Here are five football tips Will Rook thinks you should consider for Bulgaria v England on Monday evening.
England to win (-1)
England’s 2-1 defeat in Czech Republic on Friday was their first in a qualifier since 2009.
There should be a reaction from Gareth Southgate’s side tonight against a team they thumped 4-0 at Wembley little over a month ago.
Half-time/Full Time: England/England
England have been leading at half-time in all of their four victories in qualifying so far, while Bulgaria are currently on a 10-match winless streak.
Both teams to score
England have hit 20 goals in five qualifiers, so it’s safe to assume they will bag at least one tonight.
Bulgaria have scored in each of their last six home games, so should find the net against a defence that has shipped five in two games against Czech Republic and Kosovo.
Harry Kane to score exactly one goal
Kane is obviously England’s biggest goal threat and has netted eight times in his last nine appearances for his country.
But the Tottenham striker has only once scored more than one in a match during that sequence. He did bag a hat trick in the 4-0 victory over Bulgaria in September, though two of those were penalties.
Under 3.5 cards
England haven’t been issued with more than three yellow cards in any of their five qualifying matches.
There were only three bookings when the Three Lions beat Bulgaria 4-0 at Wembley last month so, at odds-against, this looks like a decent bet to bump up your price.
