England to win and BTTS

England were brilliant against Spain last time out and should ease past a young and inexperienced USA side that, to quote their official website, is "at the start of their four-year journey toward the 2022 FIFA World Cup". (That means they’re not very good.)

Don’t surprised if the visitors score, though. They have found the target in three of their four matches this season and have also netted in their last two matches in Europe, against Ireland and France in June.

Wayne Rooney to score

One word: narrative.

Seventeen more words: Rooney is in good form, having netted 12 times in his last 17 appearances for DC United.

Timothy Weah to be booked

The 18-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward, who is sure to start on Thursday, has been booked in his last two USA appearances.

Luke Shaw to be booked

Shaw was booked on his return to international football against Spain at Wembley in September and has been carded five times in 15 appearances for Manchester United this season, including against Manchester City last weekend.
