Alfred Finnbogason (Augsburg) to score v Werder Bremen (14:30)

Having ended his Christmas goal drought with a hat-trick against Mainz last weekend, Finnbogason is a nice bet to net at Werder Bremen on Sunday.

The striker’s numbers for the season suggest that a prolonged run of form is imminent. He ranks second to Robert Lewandowski for xG per 90 minutes of Bundesliga regulars and is 10th for shots per game.

Werder Bremen have conceded at least twice in four of their last six home games and rank second-bottom for xG against at home this season. That suggests they will give away plenty of goalscoring chances.

Rodrigo (Valencia) to score v Real Sociedad (15:15)

Rodrigo has scored five goals in his last three starts, excluding games against Barcelona, so he is a big price to find the net on Sunday.

The Spaniard ranks third for xG in La Liga this season, only bettered by Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, and sits sixth for shots and shots inside the penalty area per game.

Fronting a side that have scored 10 goals in their last four games, he should relish facing a Real Sociedad defence that have conceded twice in three of their last five.

Rouwen Hennings (Fortuna Dusseldorf) to score v Stuttgart (17:00)

Having scored in both of his last two matches, Hennings looks a massive price to make it three in three against Stuttgart.

The striker averaged an xG figure of 0.92 in his first three matches after the winter break, before netting in the DFB-Pokal at Schalke on Wednesday.

Stuttgart have conceded at least twice in nine of their 11 away matches this season, including 11 goals in their last four.

Moussa Dembele (Lyon) to score v Nice (20:00)

Having scored four goals in his last five games, Dembele is an easy choice to net again on Sunday.

Fronting a side that has won five consecutive matches, the striker should have plenty of opportunities created for him. He ranks ninth for xG per 90 minutes of players with 10+ Ligue 1 appearances this season and 10th for shots per game inside the penalty area.

Nice are decent defensively, but have kept just one clean sheet in six matches against top-half sides at the Allianz Riviera.
