Francesco Caputo (Empoli) to score v Bologna (14:00)

Remarkably, only Cristiano Ronaldo tops Caputo in terms of xG output in Serie A this season, suggesting he can extend his run of four goals in five matches.

The striker has netted in two of his last three home appearances, including once against Juventus, and also scored in last week’s 2-2 draw at SPAL, taking his tally for the season to seven.

He comes up against Bologna, who have conceded at least twice in all of their last five away games, and lost 4-1 at Sampdoria last time out on the road.

Nicolas Pepe (Lille) to score v Reims (16:00)

It is remarkable that, in a league containing Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, the division’s best xG output actually belongs to Nicolas Pepe.

The Lille forward – who also ranks third for shots, fourth for shots inside the penalty area and is an established penalty-taker – is perfectly capable of adding to his 10 goals in 17 appearances this season against Reims on Sunday.

The away side have already shipped four goals at Amiens and PSG this season, and are likely to concede plenty more chances here.

Alassane Plea (Borussia Monchengladbach) to score v Stuttgart (17:00)

Plea has gone a couple of games without a goal, but is having a strong enough season that it’s worth taking your chances with him on Sunday.

The striker has netted 11 goals in 14 appearances overall, which was enough to earn him a call-up to the France squad for the international break just gone.

He ranks ninth for xG, sixth for shots and eighth for shots inside the area in the Bundesliga, all of which prove this run is sustainable.

Opponents Stuttgart have conceded at least twice in five of their last six away games, including four at Hoffenheim and three at Freiburg and Hannover, so should concede plenty chances.
