Anytime goalscorers: 4 football tips for Sunday's football
Back our anytime goalscorer 61/1 four-fold or the Lucky 15, including football betting tips from the Bundesliga, Serie A, La Liga and Ligue 1.
Thorgan Hazard (Borussia Monchengladbach) to score v Dusseldorf (14:30)
Dusseldorf have conceded 17 goals in their last five Bundesliga matches, so backing a Monchengladbach goalscorer is a must.
And given that he has scored five goals in his last six league games, Hazard looks a steal at odds against.
The Belgian international ranks 11th for xG in the Bundesliga, partly due to him being an established penalty-taker, but also because of his role in an attack-minded side.
Hazard is presented with lots of good chances in a team that has scored 11 goals in four home league games.
Josip Ilicic (Atalanta) to score v Bologna (17:00)
Atalanta have hit form in the last couple of weeks, scoring eight goals in their last two games, so back one of their key attackers to score at a big price.
That turn in form coincided with Ilicic’s introduction to the first team. He scored a hat-trick in his first start of the season at Atalanta a fortnight ago and ranks ninth for xG per 90 minutes in Serie A.
Bologna have conceded twice in four of their last five matches and rank fifth-bottom for xG against at home.
Wissam Ben Yedder (Sevilla) to score v Real Sociedad (17:30)
Ben Yedder has scored five goals in his last six league games, and is an obvious bet to make the difference for Sevilla at Real Sociedad.
Only six players have scored more La Liga goals than the Frenchman this season. He also ranks third for xG, suggesting that the goals should continue to come.
Sociedad have not been bad defensively this season, but you would expect them to concede to a team that have comfortably outscored everyone bar Barcelona.
Andy Delort (Montpellier) to score v Marseille (20:00)
Given that he has scored in five consecutive league matches, Delort is sensational value to hit the net against Marseille.
The 27-year-old ranks fifth for xG, ninth for shots and 11th for shots inside the penalty area in Ligue 1, suggesting that his goalscoring rate is sustainable. That he is also a proficient penalty-taker helps, too.
Marseille have conceded at least twice in all but one of their six away games this season. They also rank sixth-bottom for xG away from home, so are sure to concede chances to Montpellier’s in-form forward.
