Swansea to beat Birmingham
Swansea followed their victory over then-league leaders Sheffield United a fortnight ago by beating Gillingham 4-1 FA Cup fourth round last weekend.
That was the fourth victory in five matches for Graham Potter’s side, who have lost only two of their last 10 games in all competitions.
Birmingham have lost their last three matches and are without a win in five, having failed to beat out-of-form Brentford and Sheffield Wednesday in that sequence.
Luton to beat Portsmouth
Luton climbed to the top of League One for the first time this season, after following their 4-0 hammering of Peterborough with a 1-0 victory away to Southend last weekend.
That result saw the Hatters leapfrog Portsmouth, who were on FA Cup duty, and extended their unbeaten run to 16 league matches.
Pompey have lost back-to-back league games for the first time this season, having been beaten by mid-table Blackpool and relegation-threatened Oxford, and have won just one of their last four in all competitions.
Barnsley to beat Oxford
Barnsley came from behind against Rochdale over the weekend to win their sixth league game in seven matches.
Each of the Reds’ last three victories have come against sides currently in the bottom five, while they continue to be League One’s best-performing team in xG.
Oxford lost 5-2 at League Two Bury in the EFL Trophy in their last match a week ago and have won just one of their last nine matches in all competitions.
Newport to beat Port Vale
Newport ensured their FA Cup journey continued last weekend as they netted a late equaliser at Middlesbrough to take the tie to a replay.
Back at Rodney Parade, where Michael Flynn’s side have won six of their last eight matches in all competitions, they look like a great value bet.
The Exiles have beaten play-off chasers Exeter and Premier League Leicester in that run and should take three points from a Port Vale side that have lost back-to-back matches and managed just one victory in 11 games.
