Here are Adam Drury's football tips for the Steel City derby on Monday evening.

Steven Fletcher to score

Sheffield Wednesday’s good form has been underpinned by Fletcher, who has scored three goals in his last two games.

The forward ranks 21st for shots per game in the Championship this season, rising to 16th for shots inside the penalty area. That is impressive considering that his side have spent large parts of the season falling short in attack.

Billy Sharp to score

Sharp has scored in five of Sheffield United’s last seven away games, netting a brace at Norwich and a hat-trick at Aston Villa on that run.

Given that the Blades have scored in 13 of their last 14 league matches, Wednesday will struggle to prevent him receiving more chances to add to his tally of 23 goals for the season.

Sam Hutchinson to be carded

Hutchinson has been carded three times this season, including in his last game against Brentford, and his stats suggest that more bookings are imminent.

The midfielder ranks second for tackles and top for fouls of Sheffield Wednesday’s likely starters.

Over 2.5 Sheffield Wednesday cards

The hosts rank seventh for fouls and third for tackles in the Championship this season, so don’t expect them to hold back in what should be a fiery derby match.

The Owls have picked up at least three cards in both of the last two Steel City derbies, while the opposition have received at least two bookings in five of Sheffield United’s last six away games.
