Don't Speculate: 5 football tips for Saturday's EFL action
We have boosted the price of this five-fold, which includes football tips from League One and League Two, to 22/1.
Accrington to beat Burton –
Burton are yet to settle back into life in League One, having lost four of their six matches so far.
The Brewers also haven’t picked up a single point from their three away games this season.
That’s unlikely to change when they visit Accrington, who are unbeaten since the opening day and have already taken points off Charlton and Scunthorpe at home.
Barnsley to beat Walsall –
Barnsley extended their unbeaten start with a 2-1 victory over Gillingham last weekend, their fourth win from their opening six matches.
The Tykes continue to dominate the shot data in League One, indicating that they are controlling their matches from start to finish.
Walsall’s own fast start to the season looks to have lost pace, with a goalless draw at Blackpool last weekend following a defeat on penalties to Macclesfield in the second round of the EFL Cup.
Portsmouth to beat Shrewsbury –
Portsmouth maintained their 100 per cent start at Fratton Park with a 3-0 win over bottom side Plymouth last weekend.
Kenny Jackett’s side have conceded just six shots no target and dropped just two points from their opening six matches in League One and are a great price to beat another side in the relegation zone.
Shrewsbury are yet to record their first league win under new manager John Askey and are second-bottom with just three points.
Forest Green to beat Port Vale –
Port Vale have lost four out of six in League Two this term and will struggle to turn that around on Saturday.
Neil Aspin’s side have been beaten in all three of their away games so far, extending their winless run to 15 league games on the road.
Forest Green are unbeaten in four matches at home this season and have responded well to losing striker Christian Doidge on loan deadline day, winning back-to-back matches and scoring seven goals since his departure.
Lincoln to beat Crawley –
A run of five victories and a draw from their opening six matches has made Lincoln the early leaders in League Two.
The Imps have a 100 per cent record at Sincil Bank and should profit from a third consecutive home game against a bottom-half side.
Managerless Crawley lost 2-1 at Oldham last weekend and have now won just one of their last four.
