Brentford to win or draw v Aston Villa –

Brentford have been one of the stand-out sides in the Championship so far and caught the eye again on Sunday with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Dean Smith’s side created 96 more chances than any other Championship side last season and have continued to post impressive numbers this term with their average of 15 shots per game the fourth-most in the division.

They have won seven points from their opening three matches and should at least avoid defeat against a Villa side that were held to a 1-1 draw by 10-man Ipswich on Saturday.

Blackburn to beat Reading –

Reading’s 1-0 defeat at home to Bolton left them second-bottom in the Championship with no points from three games.

The Royals have won just two of their last 20 league games, earning just two points in their last eight.

Blackburn made it four games unbeaten by beating Hull 1-0 on Saturday and look a tasty price for a third straight win in all competitions.

Millwall to beat Sheffield Wednesday –

Sheffield Wednesday’s disappointing start to the season continued on Sunday with a 2-0 defeat away to Brentford.

That result means the Owls have earned just one point from their opening three matches, which came in a 1-1 draw at home to fellow strugglers Hull.

Millwall extended their unbeaten start in all competitions with a 2-1 win over Derby last time out and look great value to take three points at Hillsborough.

Sunderland to beat Gillingham –

Sunderland earned their second victory of the season to make it three league games without defeat by hammering Scunthorpe 3-0 on Sunday.

The Black Cats had two thirds of the ball and racked up 18 shots in that match, with 19-year-old Josh Maja scoring in a third successive League One game.

They should make it two victories from two against a Gillingham side who have won just two of their last nine home games and lost 2-1 at Walsall on Saturday.

Fleetwood to win or draw v Scunthorpe –

Fleetwood are unbeaten in three and were a stoppage-time equaliser away from taking three points at home to Rochdale last time out.

That result came off the back of a victory on penalties over Crewe in the EFL Cup and a 2-0 away win at Oxford.

Joey Barton’s side should take at least a point against Scunthorpe, who are without a win since beating Coventry 2-1 on the opening day four games ago.
