Nottingham Forest to win

Forest have quietly been going well under Martin O’Neill, and they can carry that form into Monday night’s game with Derby.

The hosts won their last two games at the City Ground, before taking creditable points from West Brom and Preston in the last fortnight.

They are also unbeaten in five at home against their local rivals, with Derby only scoring on two of those visits.

Over 4.5 cards

This is traditionally an ill-tempered derby, with nine of the last 11 meetings between the two producing at least four cards.

Given that there were six in the reverse fixture in December, backing a busy night for the officials seems sensible.

It helps that all of Derby’s last three matches have passed this mark, as have three of Forest’s last five.

Jack Colback to be carded

Having been booked 11 times this season, Colback looks the likeliest candidate for a card on Monday night.

The Newcastle loanee ranks top for tackles and fifth for fouls in the entire Newcastle squad.

Craig Bryson to be carded

Like Colback, Bryson was booked in the reverse fixture between these sides and is a nice bet to go again on Monday.

The midfielder has picked up seven yellow cards overall this season, and ranks top for fouls in the Derby squad.
