Here are Will Rook's football betting tips for Aston Villa v Sheffield United on Friday:

media

Over 3.5 goals

This game will produce goals.

Aston Villa’s last seven home results in the Championship read: 2-1, 2-2, 2-2, 2-3, 2-2, 5-5 and 4-2.

Sheffield United, meanwhile, have only failed to score two or more in two of their last seven away games.

Tammy Abraham to score

Abraham is equal-top scorer in the Championship with 19 goals this season.

The on-loan Chelsea striker is rampant at Villa Park and has netted 12 times in his last seven home games.

Billy Sharp to score

Sharp is other player tied at the top of the scoring charts with Abraham.

The self-proclaimed ‘Fat Lad from Sheffield’ has scored nine league goals in his last 10 appearances and also bagged in the reverse fixture in September.

Over 10.5 corners

Aston Villa and Sheffield United rank sixth and eighth respectively for corners per game in the Championship, both averaging over 10.

With a decent amount of goalmouth action predicted on Friday night, it’s reasonable to assume that will bring a few corners.

Chris Basham to be carded

Basham has been given 10 yellow cards and one red in 28 league appearances this season – the second-most in the Championship.

He has also been booked in five of his last six matches away from Bramall Lane, so is an obvious candidate for a card at Villa Park.
