Pedro (Chelsea) to score v Huddersfield –

Two pre-season goals suggest that Pedro’s Chelsea career could be revitalised by Maurizio Sarri.

Despite being below his best last season, Alvaro Morata was the only Blues first-teamer to attempt more shots per 90 minutes than the ex-Barcelona forward, but the early evidence suggests that more of those efforts will go in this term.

Pedro also scored in this fixture last season, with Huddersfield conceding 14 goals in six home games against top-six sides overall.

Matt Smith (QPR) to score v Sheffield United -

Sheffield United have conceded five goals in two matches, and there is value in backing QPR striker Smith to ensure their poor start to the season continues on Saturday.

The 29-year-old is comfortably the R’s best striker and scored in three of his side’s last four home matches of last season.

Ten of his 11 league goals last season came at Loftus Road, where his side won four of their last five matches.

Christian Doidge (Forest Green) to score v Oldham -

Doidge picked up where he left off last season by scoring a brace for Forest Green against Grimsby last weekend.

The striker has 22 goals in his last 31 appearances overall, including six in his last seven at The New Lawn.

Oldham conceded twice inside 22 minutes against MK Dons last week, and will likely struggle against another free-scoring opponent.

John Akinde (Lincoln) to score v Swindon -

Akinde is a good bet to score his first Lincoln goal in Saturday’s home game against the defensively-vulnerable Swindon.

Phil Brown’s side conceded twice at home to newly-promoted Macclesfield last weekend, before a strong XI was thrashed 4-0 by Chelsea Under-23s in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday.

The striker scored 26 goals for Barnet in the 2016/17 season, his last injury-free campaign at this level, and looks poised for prolific season.
