ARSENAL V ATLETICO MADRID

Arsenal to win –

Arsenal have been formidable at the Emirates this season. They have won six successive games there, scoring at least three goals in each.

They should come out of this first leg ahead, as Atletico are in poor form, having lost four of their last six away games.

Aaron Ramsey to score –

Ramsey’s on fire, with four goals in his last three appearances and eight in his last nine.

The Welshman’s done most of his damage in Europe, scoring four times in the last two rounds for the Gunners, and has to be backed when he’s in this kind of form.

Antoine Griezmann to score –

Arsenal have conceded in each of their last five games in all competitions and have only kept two clean sheets in 14 at home, so they will surely concede against Atletico.

Griezmann – who’s bagged 27 goals this season, including 13 in his last 13 appearances – is by far the Spanish side’s likeliest scorer.

Arsenal have picked up just 11 cards in 12 Europa League games, and they didn’t have a single player booked in the second leg against CSKA Moscow.

Atletico have only been shown 14 cards in 12 European matches this season, so this first leg shouldn’t be bad-tempered.
