Here are Jack Green's football tips for Valencia v Arsenal on Thursday evening.

Both teams to score

Arsenal results have been so difficult to predict of late, with defeats to Crystal Palace, Leicester and draws with Brighton interspersed with wins over Napoli and Watford, but it’s safe to expect a few goals when they travel to Valencia.

The Gunners’ 3-1 home win in the first leg of this tie was the fifth successive game in which they’ve conceded, and they’ve also found the net in five of their six European away trips this season.

Ezequiel Garay to score

Mouctar Diakhaby’s goal in the first leg showed how vulnerable Arsenal are from set pieces, so it’s worth backing Garay – Valencia’s most dangerous aerial threat – to find the net this time around.

The centre-back has scored against both Barcelona and Real Madrid this season and came close to breaking the deadlock at the Emirates last week.

Carlos Soler to be carded

Soler has picked up 12 yellow cards in all competitions this season, including three in Europe.

He’s committed more fouls than any other Valencia player this term and has been booked three times in his last seven appearances.
