Here are five football tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for Tottenham Hotspur v LASK Linz on Thursday night.
Tottenham (-1)
Spurs surrendered a three-goal lead in the final eight minutes against West Ham on Sunday, but should rebound with a win over LASK on Thursday night.
The Austrian side lost 3-0 away to Rapid Vienna at the weekend, and were beaten 7-1 over two legs by Manchester United in last year’s competition.
Tottenham to win the first half
Spurs have made fast starts in each of their last three in all competitions, leading by three goals at the break against Maccabi Haifa, Manchester United and West Ham.
Four of the six goals conceded by LASK so far this season have come in the first half.
Over 2.5 Tottenham goals
Spurs have scored three or more goals in five of their 10 matches in all competitions this season, including each of their last three.
They are the top scoring side in the Premier League so far, and netted 12 goals in their three Europa League qualifiers.
Gareth Bale to score
Bale is reported to be starting on Thursday, making his first start for the club since returning on loan from Real Madrid.
He went close to scoring as a second-half substitute against West Ham and, even if he comes off the bench again on Thursday, should have a few opportunities to find the net against LASK.
