Here are Adam Drury's football betting tips for Thursday night.

Chelsea to win 1-0 or 2-0

Malmo were beaten just once in the group stage of this competition, with five of their six games producing two goals or fewer, so they’re perfectly capable of keeping this tight.

But a combination of the fact that they have not played a competitive match since December and that they take on, in theory, a far superior team, is likely to see them beaten here.

Chelsea won their first two away games in the Europa League this season 1-0, before drawing 2-2 in a dead rubber at MOL Vidi.

Over 2.5 Malmo cards

Malmo received at least two cards in five of their six group games, and three or more in two of them.

Given that four of Chelsea’s six group-stage matches saw the opposition pick up at least three cards, this looks an appealing bet.

Soren Rieks to be carded

Nielsen picked up seven yellows and a red in 2018, and looks a likely candidate to go into the referee’s book here.

The defender ranked first for fouls and third for tackles in Malmo’s Europa League group-stage campaign.
