Here are Jack Green's football tips for Arsenal v Valencia on Thursday evening.
Arsenal to win
Arsenal have hit a poor run of form, but they’ve been so reliable at home in the Europa League this season that they’re worth backing to win on Thursday night.
The Gunners have won their last four European games at the Emirates by an aggregate score of 9-0, while Valencia are coming off back-to-back defeats to Atletico Madrid and Eibar.
Goncalo Guedes to score
Arsenal have been so bad at the back recently that it’s hard to see Valencia failing to find the net, and Guedes looks the Spanish side’s likeliest candidate.
The Portuguese winger is in great form, with six goals in his last eight appearances, including four in Valencia’s last three away trips.
Sokratis to be carded
Sokratis was booked against Leicester at the weekend, taking his tally for the season to 11, the most of any Arsenal player.
The Greek defender has picked up four yellows and a red in his last eight appearances for the Gunners, and is likely to start on Thursday night given the importance of the game.
Carlos Soler to be carded
Soler has been booked in Valencia’s last two matches against Atletico and Eibar.
The 22-year-old midfielder has now been carded 13 times this season, including three times in Europe.
