Here are five football tips Jack Green thinks you should consider for Arsenal v Vitoria Guimaraes, which kicks off at 20:00 on Thursday.

Arsenal to win (-1)

Arsenal’s cup side have been much more impressive than their first team this season. They’ve won their two Europa League games 3-0 and 4-0 and beat Nottingham Forest 5-0 in the EFL Cup.

Guimaraes have lost two of two in the Europa League and are coming off a defeat on penalties to third-tier Sintra in the Portuguese Cup.

Under 0.5 Guimaraes goals

Betting on Arsenal to keep a clean sheet is usually a mistake, but they shouldn’t have any problem keeping Guimaraes out on Thursday night.

The Portuguese side have scored two goals across their last four matches in all competitions and are yet to find the net in Europe.

Gabriel Martinelli to score

Martinelli has started up front for Arsenal in their last two cup games and has justified his inclusion with four goals.

The 18-year-old Brazilian should keep his place even with Alexandre Lacazette returning from injury.

Over 6.5 Arsenal corners

Arsenal have had at least seven corners in each of their last six matches in all competitions and have averaged over 11 per game in their last three.

They had nine at home to Standard Liege and 15 against Nottingham Forest, so they’ll surely reach a similar total in what should be another easy win at the Emirates.

Lucas Torreira to be carded

Torreira was left on the bench for Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United on Monday night, meaning he’s almost guaranteed a start on Thursday.

The Uruguayan is yet to be booked this season but picked up eight yellow cards and a red last term, so it’s only a matter of time until his combative style gets him into trouble.
