Here are four football tips that Jack Green thinks you should consider for Arsenal v Dundalk.
Arsenal to win to nil
Arsenal came back from a goal down to beat Rapid Vienna last week and should have an easier time against Dundalk, who lost 2-1 at home to Molde in their Europa League opener.
The visitors are third in the League of Ireland Premier Division, having lost to Waterford at the weekend, and it’s hard to imagine them scoring against an Arsenal side that have conceded just eight goals in nine matches this season.
Arsenal to score over 1.5 second half goals
Arsenal scored both of their goals against Rapid Vienna after the 70th minute and should again be backed for two or more second-half goals on Thursday night.
Nine of Arsenal’s 12 goals this season have come after half-time, and Dundalk conceded twice in the second half against Molde last week.
Eddie Nketiah to score
Nketiah started for Arsenal in the Europa League last week and looks set to do so again this Thursday after being a second-half substitute against Leicester at the weekend.
The 21-year-old has found the net twice this season and is the likeliest scorer in what should be a heavily rotated Arsenal side.
Over 2.5 Dundalk cards
Leicester picked up five bookings against Arsenal at the weekend, meaning the Gunners’ last three opponents have all been shown at least four yellow cards.
Rapid Vienna tried to slow Mikel Arteta’s side down with strategic fouls last week – picking up four bookings in the process – and it’d be no surprise if Dundalk employ a similar approach.
