Here are five football tips Jack Green thinks you should consider for Arsenal v Standard Liege, which kicks off at 20:00 on Thursday.

Arsenal (-1)

Arsenal made a great start to their Europa League campaign by beating Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 a fortnight ago, and they should secure another comfortable victory at the Emirates on Thursday night.

The Gunners have won their last four European home games by an aggregate score of 11-1, winning every match by at least two goals, while Standard Liege took just one point from three away trips in the Europa League last season.

Under 1.5 first-half goals

Arsenal led just 1-0 at half-time when they beat Frankfurt 3-0, and it would be no surprise if they start slowly again this week.

They also led 1-0 at half-time in 5-0 EFL Cup win over Nottingham Forest last Tuesday, with Unai Emery expected to field a side similar to the one that played that night.

Gabriel Martinelli to score

Martinelli netted a brace in his first Arsenal start against Forest last week – an impressive audition that should earn him a starting spot on Thursday.

The Brazilian is a natural winger but looked capable of playing as a lone striker, and is worth backing to score in a side that should create plenty of chances.

Joe Willock to score

Willock came off the bench against Manchester United on Monday night, meaning he’ll surely start in the Europa League for the second time this season.

The midfielder has shown an eye for goal in his previous opportunities, scoring five times in nine starts during the last couple of campaigns.

Mehdi Carcela-Gonzalez to be carded

Carcela-Gonzalez has made 10 appearances for Standard Liege this season and has already picked up four bookings.

The Moroccan winger was shown eight yellows and a red last term, proving that this recent spate of bookings is no fluke.
