Five teams looking to extend their 100 per cent Europa League records should earn home wins to give you a boost on Thursday night
1/3 – Basel to beat CF Belenenses
FC Basel offer the shortest odds of the five teams in this week’s Europa League acca but for good reason.
They lead the Swiss Super League after 12 games, having won 10 of those and have also won both games in the Europa League so far this campaign without too much difficulty.
Their opponents this week, CF Belenenses sit 13th in the Portuguese Primeira Liga and have not won in Europe so far this term.
A 4-0 loss at home to Fiorentina looks set to be followed by another defeat here.
11/10 – Lokomotiv Moscow to beat Beskitas
Lokomotiv Moscow know they can take full control of Group H with a home win over nearest rivals Besiktas on Thursday.
The Russian side have won both Europa League games so far this term and are unbeaten in seven in all competitions.
Besiktas have only won one of their last four in Europe and may struggle in front of the Moscow crowd here.
1/2 – Schalke to beat Sparta Prague
Schalke will also look to use Thursday’s game to take control of their group. They host Sparta Prague, who are their closest rivals in Group K and know a win will put them five points clear.
The Bundesliga outfit have started the season well and have won seven of their last eight in all competitions. They haven’t conceded a goal in the competition so far but have netted seven in two.
Sparta Prague struggle away from home in Europe and have only won one of their last 12 away games in this competition.
Sporting Braga have won both Group F games 1-0 so far and will look to record another solid win in Thursday’s clash with Marseille.
The Portuguese club are unbeaten in six in all competitions, winning five of those and have not lost at home in their last nine.
By contrast, Marseille have started the new season poorly. They haven’t won in their last six games in all competitions and have lost four of their last six in the Europa League.
11/10 – Rapid Vienna to beat Viktoria Plzen
Rapid Vienna are probably surprised that they are leading Group E after winning their first two games but they have proved to be good value for those victories.
They will hope to continue with a win against Plzen on Thursday and will be confident, having not lost in their last eight home games in the competition.
Their Czech opponents are in good form but have only won one of their last four on the road and may struggle to ruin Vienna’s 100% record here.
