SNF: 5 European football tips for Saturday evening's matches
Fund your big night out with this accumulator, featuring football tips from the Bundesliga, Premier League, Ligue 1, La Liga and the Primeira Liga.
Borussia Monchengladbach to beat Stuttgart (17:30)
Stuttgart are third-bottom of the Bundesliga, having lost 19 and won just five of their 30 league games this season.
They were hammered 6-0 away to Augsburg last weekend, while their only victory in 15 came against bottom-of-the-league Hannover in March.
Gladbach have won each of their six games against the current bottom four and, despite a run of just two victories in 10 games, represent good value here.
Newcastle to win or draw against Brighton (17:30)
Newcastle have only lost two of their last 13 matches against sides outside of the top six, so they’re worth backing to avoid defeat against a struggling Brighton team.
The Magpies are coming off back-to-back wins, and have only lost once away from home to a non-top six team all season.
Chris Hughton’s side have taken just one point from their last six Premier League games, failing to score in all of those matches.
Marseille to beat Nantes & under 3.5 goals (18:00)
Marseille are in great form at home, having won five and drawn one of their last six matches at the Stade Velodrome.
There were fewer than four goals in all of those wins, four of which finished either 1-0 or 2-0.
They should see off Nantes, who have lost seven of their last nine matches, scoring just once during that run.
Barcelona to beat Levante & over 2.5 goals (19:45)
Barcelona have won all of their last seven matches at the Nou Camp, so there’s little doubt they will come out on top here.
And, given that eight of the hosts’ last 11 home wins have seen over 2.5 goals, it is safe to throw that in as well.
Levante were beaten 3-0 on this ground earlier this season in the Copa del Rey and lost the reverse league fixture 5-0.
Sporting CP to beat Vitoria Guimaraes & under 3.5 goals (20:00)
Sporting have won four of their last five home games, with only one of those victories producing over 3.5 goals.
Twelve of the hosts’ 16 home wins overall this season have produced fewer than four goals.
Vitoria have lost their last three home matches 1-0, 1-0 and 2-1.
