SNF: 5 European football tips for Saturday's matches
Fund your big night out with this accumulator, featuring football tips from Serie A, Ligue 1 and the Primeira Liga.
Cagliari to win or draw Lazio (17:00)
Cagliari have lost their last two games but, having been beaten just four times at home all season, are worth backing here.
Opponents Lazio do have a decent away record, including wins in their last two, but will likely have one eye on next Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final.
The cup winner will qualify for the Europa League and, given that they have little chance of a top-four spot, that is their only shot at Europe.
Amiens to win or draw Toulouse (19:00)
Amiens are unbeaten in six at home, having won three and drawn three in that period.
They also still have something to play for and a result here would go a long way to securing their top-flight status.
Toulouse are without a win in their last seven on the road and have won just four away games all season.
Nice to win or draw v Nantes (19:00)
Nice have won six of their last eight home games and have lost just five times in all competitions at the Allianz Riviera.
Nantes are in decent form, having won each of their last five, but just one of those came away from home.
They have secured just seven victories on the road in all competitions this season.
AC Milan to beat Fiorentina (19:30)
Fiorentina have an atrocious home record this season and have won just six of their 19 games in all competitions at the Artemio Franchi, while they are without a victory in their last eight.
La Viola are winless in their last 13 games in all competitions – a run that stretches back to mid-February – and that is unlikely to change against a Milan side chasing Champions League qualification.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side have failed to win in four away matches, but are a good bet to snap that skid on Saturday.
Sporting Lisbon to beat Tondela (20:30)
Sporting are out of the title race, but have been in fine form of late, winning each of their last nine in the Primeira Liga.
Marcel Keizer’s side have also kept a clean sheet in each of their last three home league encounters.
Third-bottom Tondela have won just two of their last 11 league games and failed to score in each of their last four on the road.
