Betway writers’ 4 To Score picks for Saturday 16 05 20

As the Bundesliga returns from a two-month break, our writers predict the first scorer in these four matches for our free-to-play football predictions game.

4 To Score is Betway’s free-to-play football predictions game, where you can win a jackpot of £25k by correctly predicting the first player to score in our four selected matches.

To help you make your picks, our writers reveal who they think will break the deadlock in four selected matches as the Bundesliga returns this weekend.

Eintracht Frankfurt v Borussia Monchengladbach: Filip Kostic

Kostic was hitting his best form of the season just before football was postponed, scoring consecutive home braces in February before netting again at the Commerzbank-Arena against RB Salzburg in the Europa League.

Home advantage will probably play less of a part in these games, but he is still likely to be one of Frankfurt’s main threats.

Monchengladbach conceded seven goals in their last four away games before the break.

Adam Drury

Cologne v Mainz: Jhon Cordoba

Cologne had scored 11 goals across their last four home matches before the break, so it’s best to opt for one of their players here.

Cordoba is the clear choice. The Colombian has scored 10 league goals this season, eight of which have come in his last 10 appearances.

He opened the scoring four times during that 10-game stretch and has also found the net in seven of his last eight home matches.

Jack Green

Union Berlin v Bayern Munich: Serge Gnabry

The obvious choice here is Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski, who is the current Bundesliga top scorer with 25 goals so far this season.

Winger Serge Gnabry is, however, another great option with 11 goals in the league and 18 in all competitions this season.

The key here is Gnabry’s away form – the former Arsenal forward has netted seven of his 11 goals on the road, while the majority of Lewandowski’s have come at the Allianz Arena.

Guy Giles

Werder Bremen v Leverkusen: Kai Havertz

Werder Bremen were in dreadful shape before the break, having lost five of their previous six home games to nil, so it makes sense to go with an away player here.

Havertz was in his most prolific spell of the season previously, with five of his 10 goals coming in his last eight appearances in all competitions.

The winger finished with two openers in two games, including a penalty away to Rangers in his final appearance before lockdown.
