Atletico Madrid to beat Club Brugge

Club Brugge were beaten by a late Dortmund goal in their Group A opener, meaning they have lost each of their last seven Champions League group games.

The Belgian side are without a win in 11 matches in the competition and, having lost 2-0 their last away game to second-tier side Deinze in the cup, it doesn’t look good.

Atletico Madrid started with a 2-1 victory at Monaco and have lost just one of their last 18 matches at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Dortmund to beat Monaco

Dortmund came back from two goals down to win 4-2 away to Leverkusen at the weekend, extending their unbeaten start under manager Lucien Favre to eight games.

That victory followed a 7-0 demolition of Nuremberg at home and the German side have won three from three at the Westfalenstadion this term.

They should ease past an underperforming Monaco, who are on an eight-match winless run and are third-bottom of Ligue 1.

Liverpool to beat Napoli

Following a 1-1 draw at Chelsea, Liverpool have won seven and lost just one of their opening nine matches in all competitions.

They beat Paris Saint-Germain 3-2 in their first group game and Jurgen Klopp’s side are great value to make it six points from six.

Napoli were held to a 0-0 draw by Red Star Belgrade a fortnight ago and lost four group games out of six last season.

Tottenham to win or draw v Barcelona

Barcelona are on their longest winless run since December 2016, having drawn two and lost one of their last three matches.

Their recent travelling record in the Champions League doesn’t give much reason for optimism, with just one victory in their last seven matches away from the Nou Camp.

Tottenham won all three of their Champions League group games at Wembley last season, including 3-1 victories over both Dortmund and Real Madrid, and are capable of avoiding defeat on Wednesday.
