Here are Jack Green's football betting tips for Manchester City v Lyon.
Manchester City to win
City won their first five Champions League games last season, and should again get off to a strong start in the new campaign.
Pep Guardiola’s side have won four of their first five games this season, while Lyon have already lost to both Reims and Nice, and drew 2-2 with Caen last time out.
Raheem Sterling to score
Sterling has been excellent so far this season, scoring in three of his four appearances, including each of the last two.
No player is guaranteed a start under Pep Guardiola, but the England international looks a likely choice on Wednesday night and is a good bet to bag whenever he plays.
Bertrand Traore to score
Traore scored 13 goals in all competitions last season, and has netted twice in five Ligue 1 appearances this term.
City are likely to be without both Benjamin Mendy and Fabian Delph, so the right-sided forward should have a great chance of scoring against whoever Guardiola picks as a makeshift left-back.
Fernandinho to be booked
City will dominate the ball on Wednesday, so Lyon’s best chances of scoring will come on the counter-attack through Traore, Nabil Fekir and Memphis Depay.
Expect the Premier League side to use some dirty tactics to stop that pacy trio, with Fernandinho the player most likely to take one for the team.
