Here are Jack Green‘s football tips for Manchester City v Tottenham on Wednesday.

Manchester City to win to nil

Manchester City have won 12 successive home games in all competitions, so should bounce back from their first-leg defeat by beating a Spurs side that have lost six of their last seven away matches.

Conceding a goal would put City in big trouble, but they’ve kept clean sheets in all but two of their last 11 games at the Etihad so the win to nil is definitely worth backing.

Raheem Sterling to score

Sterling bagged a brace against Crystal Palace on Sunday and has now scored 10 goals in his last nine appearances for club and country.

The 24-year-old scored twice when Man City hosted Tottenham last season and looks a likely scorer on Wednesday given the form he’s in.

Riyad Mahrez to score

Mahrez sat out City’s win over Crystal Palace at the weekend, meaning he’s likely to start against Spurs at the Etihad.

The 28-year-old scored the only goal in City’s Premier League win at Wembley in October and has now scored in three of his last four appearances against Spurs.

Fernandinho to be carded

Fernandinho was lucky to escape punishment for elbowing Harry Kane in the head last week.

The Brazilian has been carded in three of his last seven starts, and in three of his last six Champions League appearances.

Danny Rose to be carded

Rose leads all Tottenham players with six bookings in all competitions this season, one of which came in last week’s first leg.

The England international has now been carded in three of his last six starts for club and country.
