Man City to win & under 3.5 goals – 21/20
Man City have tightened up in the Champions league recently, with this bet landing in both legs against Real Madrid in the last 16.
Expect Lyon to defend well in this tie, too, considering they beat Juventus 1-0 in the first leg of their second-round tie, and held on to qualify in the second leg.
Half-time score: 0-0 –
The same logic applies to this bet.
The odds on a 0-0 first-half draw are pretty long, but City are playing more defensively than their reputation suggests, so it may take some time for the goals to flow in this game.
Raheem Sterling to score –
Sterling has been on fire since the June restart, scoring 11 goals in 12 matches.
He netted against Real Madrid last Friday, his sixth Champions League goal of the season.
Over 10.5 corners –
On the basis that City could be frustrated by a stubborn Lyon defence in this game, their corner count is likely to be high.
They have registered 12 and 13 corners in their last two losses, suggesting they earn several more in games they find difficult.
Lyon won three corners in their second leg against Juventus last week, and a similar number should see them tip the balance over 10.5.
