Here are four football tips that Jack Green thinks that you should consider for Leipzig v Atletico Madrid on Thursday night.

Atletico to win

Atletico closed out the season with an 18-match unbeaten run, including seven wins and four draws since the restart.

Leipzig were in decent form post-restart but drew five of their 10 matches and lost 2-0 to Borussia Dortmund, so Atletico should have the edge on Thursday night.

Under 2.5 goals

Seven of Atletico’s 11 matches after the restart saw under 2.5 goals scored, including each of their last four.

With Leipzig’s attack likely blunted by the departure of Timo Werner, it’s safe to expect another low-scoring Atletico win here.

Alvaro Morata to score first

Morata is Atletico’s leading scorer with 16 goals this season, including three in the Champions League, one of which was the final goal in the last round against Liverpool.

The former Chelsea striker has netted three goals in his last four starts, opening the scoring in two occasions during that run.

Thomas Partey to be carded

Partey has been booked 16 times in all competitions this season, which is the most of any Atletico player.

The Ghanaian midfielder has been carded three times in his last seven starts, including Atletico’s last game of the La Liga season against Real Sociedad.
