Here are five football tips Jack Green thinks you should consider for Chelsea v Ajax on Tuesday night.
Chelsea to win
Chelsea fully deserved the three points in Amsterdam a fortnight ago after winning the xG battle 1.72-0.45.
Frank Lampard’s side have now won eight of their last nine matches in all competitions, with an EFL Cup defeat to Manchester United the only exception.
Over 2.5 goals
There have been over 2.5 goals scored in five of Chelsea’s last seven matches in all competitions.
Ajax have been prolific of late, scoring at least two goals in seven of their last eight games, and had a goal narrowly ruled out for offside in the reverse fixture.
Willian to score
Frank Lampard invariably picks his strongest team in the Champions League, meaning Willian should make his fourth consecutive start in the competition.
The Brazilian has scored three goals in his last seven appearances, so this looks a good price for him to find the net on Tuesday night.
Nicolas Tagliafico to be carded
Tagliafico has picked up from where he left off last season, when he picked up 15 bookings for club and country.
The Argentine has already been shown six yellow cards this term, including three in his last six appearances.
Over 10.5 corners
There were 15 corners when these teams met a fortnight ago, and the reverse fixture should see a similarly high total.
Ajax have been awarded six or more corners in four of their last five games, while there have been at least 12 in all three of Chelsea’s Champions League matches so far.
