Here are four football tips that Guy Giles thinks that you should consider for Barcelona v Bayern Munich on Friday evening.
Bayern to win & BTTS
Bayern have arguably been the most impressive team in Europe this season, with Hans-Dieter Flick’s side being the only club to win all eight of their matches in the Champions League so far.
Barca are unbeaten in the competition, too, and dispatched Napoli with ease at the weekend, but a poor domestic season exposed weaknesses in their squad, and they are yet to meet a team of Bayern’s quality.
Over 3.5 goals
There have been four or more goals in each of Bayern’s last four matches in all competitions, and in five of their eight in Europe this season.
Barca also tend to be involved in high-scoring matches, with this bet landing in five of their last eight overall, while they have scored four themselves on 12 occasions this term.
The last four meetings between these sides read: 3-2, 3-0, 0-3 and 4-0, and Friday’s match looks poised to follow suit.
Thomas Muller to score
Muller has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season, and his record against Barca makes this bet hard to resist.
He has netted four goals in four previous meetings against the Catalans.
Lionel Messi to score
It feels quite rare to see Messi priced up as odds-against to score these days, so it’s worth diving in when the opportunity arises.
He has 31 goals in 43 games in all competitions this season, and has scored four times in five meetings with Bayern.
