Here are four football tips that Will Rook thinks that you should consider for Atalanta v PSG on Wednesday evening.

Atalanta to win or draw

Paris Saint-Germain come into this having played just two competitive games since 11 March, so you have to assume they will be rusty.

Atalanta’s season finished at the beginning of August and they have lost just one of their last 20 matches in all competitions. They have also won four on the spin in the Champions League and claimed a creditable 1-1 at against Manchester City in the group stage.

Over 3.5 goals

Atalanta were the third-highest scorers across the top five leagues in Europe during the 2019/20 season, netting 98 league goals – second only to Bayern Munich and Manchester City.

They have scored four or more themselves on nine occasions in all competitions, while there were at least five goals in both legs of their last-16 tie against Valencia.

Paris Saint-Germain, meanwhile, have scored at least four goals on seven occasions in their last 12 matches.

Mauro Icardi to score

Icardi has scored 20 goals in 31 matches for Paris Saint-Germain this season and, with Kylian Mbappe out, will have to shoulder more of the attacking responsibility on Wednesday.

Neymar also looks a tempting bet at in a game that promises plenty of goals, but Icardi’s slightly longer price means he gets the nod.

Ruslan Malinovskiy to score

In what looks likely to be a high-scoring match, it is worth punting on a bigger-priced anytime goalscorer as well.

Malinovskiy has scored 12 goals this season and ranks fourth for shots per game in Atalanta’s squad. He has scored against Man City, Lazio and Juventus this season.
