4 picks from Wednesday's Champions League games
This 6/1 four-fold, which includes Bayern Munich and Juventus, should bring home a tidy profit.
Bayern Munich (-2) to beat Celtic –
Celtic’s 3-0 win away at Anderlecht last time out will be as good as it gets for them in this season’s Champions League.
The Scottish side had gone 16 European group games without a victory prior to that match and were spanked 5-0 at home to Paris Saint-Germain on matchday one.
Bayern beat Anderlecht 3-0 in their last home game and have won three out of four at the Allianz Arena without conceding.
Manchester United to beat Benfica –
Manchester United have taken six points from six in the Champions League this season.
Their 0-0 draw with Liverpool was their 11th game without defeat, and only the second time they have failed to win in that period.
Benfica were battered 5-0 by Basel last time out – a side that United beat 3-0 – and this could be another demolition job.
Chelsea to beat Roma –
Chelsea are top of Group C after winning both of their games, and are poised to open up a five-point lead with another victory on Wednesday.
Having won 21 of their last 25 group games at home, the Blues are great value to do so.
Roma were beaten by Napoli at the weekend, and have managed two draws and six defeats from their previous eight matches on English soil.
Juventus to beat Sporting –
Juventus beat Olympiakos on matchday two, extending their unbeaten run at home in the Champions League to 17 games.
Max Allegri’s side were beaten by Lazio on Sunday, but they won five of their six matches at the Allianz Stadium this term.
Sporting are not in the best of form, with their only win in their last five outings coming against third-tier Oleiros in the Portuguese Cup.
