England v New Zealand second Test betting tips and predictions

These cricket tips can help form your #BetYourWay as England meet New Zealand in the second and final Test at Edgbaston.
Here are four cricket betting tips that Guy Giles thinks you should consider for the second Test between England and New Zealand at Edgbaston on Thursday.
England to win
England were outplayed over four days of play at Lord’s, but escaped with a draw thanks to some solid batting on day five following an early declaration from New Zealand.
They head north to Edgbaston for the second Test, a ground where they have lost just once in their last nine matches – a 251-run defeat in the 2019 Ashes.
Although they will be missing the suspended Ollie Robinson and may rest Mark Wood, England should field their strongest side available with the series on the line.
Their record at Edgbaston, added to some glimmers of form with the bat in the first Test, makes them worth backing for the win here.
Ollie Pope to score over 24.5 runs in the first innings
Pope failed to pass this mark in either of his innings in the first Test, but looked in good touch for his 22 and 20*.
He has also been in great form for Surrey this season, beating this runs line in six of his eight innings prior to joining up with England.
Henry Nicholls to score over 24.5 runs in the first innings
Nicholls looked assured in the first Test, following up a half-century in the first innings with 23 in the second.
The left-hander has passed this mark in four of his last six innings in this format.
James Anderson to be England’s top wicket-taker in the first innings
Anderson took just two wickets across both innings in the first Test at Lord’s, but should be more of a threat at Edgbaston.
He has taken 27 first-innings wickets in his last nine Test appearances at Birmingham, topping this market on four occasions.
