So, with the artist having such a devoted following, online casino Betway set out to discover which cities boasted the most dedicated Swifties. We looked at a seed list of major cities in the UK, Europe and Canada and evaluated the following factors: 

• Monthly searches for ‘Taylor Swift’ in each city
• The number of Taylor Swift songs in the Spotify chart between 13th – 19th October
• Highest streak out of all Taylor Swift songs in the chart between 13th – 19th October
• The average peak position of all Taylor Swift songs in the chart between 13th – 19th of October
• The number of Taylor Swift dedicated events in each city
• TikTok views for ‘Swiftogedden’ club nights per city (UK only)
• TikTok views for ‘Taylor Swift per city’
• The number of members in ‘Eras tour dedicated Facebook groups’ per city 

London (UK) has a true ‘Love Story’ with Taylor Swift, taking the crown for being the city that is home to the most dedicated Swifties in the world. Boasting a total score of 71.4 out of 80, there is no denying that the UK’s capital loves all things Tay. 

Taylor Swift’s music ‘Hits Different’ in Toronto (Canada), as the city secures the title of having the second-most Taylor Swift superfans in the world. So it’s no surprise that the city had an overall score of 63.7/80 and 30 million Swifties registering to buy tickets for her latest tour dates in Toronto. 

The only thing ‘Better Than Revenge’ is your city landing third place for being the next biggest Swiftie fans around the globe, and Liverpool has managed to achieve just that, with a score of 63.5/80.

Dublin (Ireland) is home to the fourth-biggest Taylor Swift fanbase worldwide, with Ireland’s capital city boasting some of Taylor’s most hardcore fans, making it Swiftie central with a devoted total score of 63.1 out of 80.

Completing the top five is Vancouver (Canada), who are the fifth-biggest Taylor Swift fans in the world. Scoring 59.6 out of 80 in total, the Vancouver fanbase show they are all a true ‘Lover’ of the reigning queen of pop.

Making up the rest of the top 10 cities that have the most dedicated Taylor Swift fans include Manchester (UK) in sixth place (55.2), Glasgow (UK) in seventh place (54.0), Berlin (Germany) in eighth place (45.7), Bristol (UK) in ninth place (44.2), and Zurich (Switzerland) in 10th place (43.6).

Swifties will continue to search for their icon Taylor Swift for ‘Evermore’, but some cities are more dedicated than others when it comes to searching for the global pop star. 

Toronto (Canada) tops the table as the city searching for Taylor Swift the most, with an unbeatable score of 10 out of 10. Tay’s song ‘I Bet You Think About Me’ has never been more prevalent, as city residents have racked up 4,300 monthly searches for the singer.

London (UK) has amassed the second-highest number of monthly searches for Taylor Swift with a score of 9.7/10. Avid superfans can’t get enough of the global pop star and are searching for Swift 2,500 times a month.

Tay’s popularity is just as rife in Vancouver (Canada), with the city having the third-highest number of monthly Taylor Swift searches at 1,900, with her long-standing supporters earning the city a score out of 9.4/10

Paris (France) lands itself in fourth place with residents of the city accumulating 1,700 monthly searches for Taylor Swift. The city of love has bagged a score of 9.1/10, which makes us all wish we could feel ‘like we were in Paris’.

Emerging in fifth place as the city searching for Taylor Swift is Montreal (Canada), with 1,000 monthly searches for the pop star, and an overall score of 8.8/10.

The award-winning, global pop star is renowned for her ‘Red’ hot hits that fellow Swifties can’t get enough of, but which cities hold the most Taylor Swift songs not only in their hearts – but in their charts? 

Glasgow (UK) takes the lead for having the highest number of Taylor Swift songs in the Spotify chart the week of the 13th-19th of October. With an impressive 13 songs claiming a spot in the chart, including the likes of cardigan and august from her Folklore album, Glasgow bags a score of 10/10 in the report. 

In joint second place are Bristol (UK) and Vancouver (Canada), with a total of 10 Taylor Swift songs earning a spot in their Spotify charts that week. Songs from Swift’s Midnights album were particularly popular with Karma, Lavender Haze and Anti-Hero all featuring and scoring the cities a supportive 9.4/10. 

Tieing in third position are Toronto (Canada), London (UK), Liverpool (UK), Dublin (Ireland), Calgary (Canada), and Ottawa (Canada), all with 9 Taylor Swift songs in their Spotify chart that week, earning the Swiftie cities a score of 7.6/10 in the report.

Manchester (UK) claims fourth place with 7 of the pop queen’s songs in the city’s Spotify chart, and a score of 7.4/10. The chart included the extremely popular and upbeat songs Blank Space and Style from her 1989 album – showing Mancunians can’t resist a catchy Taylor Swift tune.

Earning fifth spot is Birmingham (UK) with 5 of Tay’s songs in their chart that week, including the likes of Cruel Summer and Don’t Blame Me – scoring the city a 7.1/10. 

In the words of Taylor Swift, ‘I promise that you’ll never find another like Me-e-e, ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh’, and these cities don’t want to either…keeping the pop sensation’s songs in their charts for weeks on end.

Toronto, Vancouver, Dublin, Glasgow (UK), Calgary and Ottawa all claim first place for having a Taylor Swift song in their charts for the most consecutive weeks. These cities clearly find Tay’s music ‘Timeless’, boasting a streak of 52 weeks and a score of 10/10.

It’s ‘Nothing New’ that London (UK) secures a prime spot in the rankings once again, holding the second-biggest song streak with an impressive 44 weeks and a Taylor Swift-obsessed score of 9.7 out of 10.

Mancunians emerge as the third-biggest Taylor Swift music fanatics with the Northern city holding a long-standing song streak of 31 weeks. Whether Mancs can’t get enough of her feel-good pop or are soothing their souls to her many breakup songs, it’s landed the city with an impressive 9.3 out of 10.

Taking the trophy for joint fourth are Liverpool (UK) and Birmingham (UK) with a strong Taylor Swift song streak of 26 weeks. Showing their commitment to TayTay has paid off, as the two cities scored a pretty impressive 8.6 out of 10.

Bristol lands the fifth spot with Bristolian Swifties keeping their beloved Taylor Swift in the charts for 23 consecutive weeks, gaining the city a score of 8.3 out of 10.

Taylor Swift’s upbeat melodies, coupled with powerful lyrics, inspire fans to just ‘Shake It Off’, embrace positivity and enjoy life. But which cities are playing Tay on repeat and have the artist in an average peak position in their charts?

Zurich (Switzerland) is ‘the 1’, with the city coming out top of the table, scoring full marks (10/10) for Taylor Swift’s songs having an average peak position of 11 in the city’s music chart.

Residents in Berlin (Germany) and Brussels (Belgium) know Taylor Swift’s songs ‘All Too Well’, bagging second spot for her songs having an average peak position of 16 in the charts in their cities, gaining them a score of 9.4/10.

London (UK) is the number one city for Taylor Swift-themed events or parties, with 13 different events to attend and dance the night away at. Scoring full marks (10/10), London is proof that all things Tay ‘will never go out of style’.

Glasgow (UK) and Bristol (UK) are in second place with 9 events, giving the cities a simply ‘Gorgeous’ score of 9.4/10. From tribute acts like Taylor Mania to club nights like Swiftogeddon – these cities know how to party Taylor Swift style.

The city hosting the third-highest number of Taylor Swift events or parties is Manchester (UK) with a total of 9 events. Mancunians better grab their cowboy boots and sparkly jackets because their city just received an impressive score of 9.1/10.

Neck and neck in fourth place are Edinburgh (UK) and Toronto (Canada), both claiming fourth place with 7 Taylor Swift-inspired events. From drag brunches and trivia nights or even silent discos, these cities earned a Swiftie-approved score of 8.5/10.

There’s no ‘Bad Blood’ between Berlin (Germany), Liverpool (UK) and Dublin (Ireland), as they all bag joint-fifth place, hosting 6 Taylor Swift events in their cities and a score of 7.6/10.

The UK and Ireland’s Swiftogeddon club nights, run by fans for non-stop Swifty all night long, is something not to be missed. So, if you wish you ‘Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve’ been to one and are hoping to catch the next, these are the cities holding the most. 

London (UK) adores Taylor Swift, as much as she loves a ‘London Boy’, with the city racking up the most TikTok views for their Swiftogeddon club nights. Racking up 3.5 million views, the Swiftie city has earned an unbeatable score of 10/10. 

Belfast (Ireland) came in a close second with the next highest number of Swiftogeddon views on TikTok at 402,300. Some call it the luck of the Irish, but Belfast Swifties gained this score of 9.7/10 by hosting club nights that are simply TikTok-worthy. 

Manchester (UK) has the third-highest number of views for their Swiftogeddon nights on TikTok with 231,300 views and a score of 9.4/10. Hosted at the 02 Ritz and filled to the brim with Swifties, the fun-filled nights make for great TikTok content.

Taking fourth spot for its city’s Swiftogeddon popularity on TikTok is Glasgow (UK) with 79,500 views. The event at one of Glasgow’s best-loved venues, SWG3 Warehouse, has been the feature of many TikToks gaining the city a score of 9.1/10.

Landing a spot in fifth place, for the popularity of their Swiftogeddon nights on TikTok, is Leeds, racking up 56,100 views for the club night and scoring a Swiftie-worthy 8.8/10.

Paris (France) leads the way as the city with the highest number of TikTok views for Taylor Swift with 10.9 million views. The city ‘Enchanted’ by Tay has fans dancing in front of the Eiffel Tower, miming the lyrics to Paris and scoring the city an unmatched 10/10.

In second place with over 9.3 million TikTok views for Taylor Swift is Toronto (Canada). From Swiftie fan videos in desperate need of Eras tour tickets to clips of Taylor performing, the bustling city scored a worthy 9.7 out of 10. 

Madrid (Spain) is named the city with the third-highest TikTok views for Taylor Swift with a massive 4.9 million views for the country-turned-pop icon. With countless reels of Tay’s incredible concerts filling the app, it’s no surprise that Madrid gained a score of 9.4/10.

Coming in fourth for their crowd-pleasing Taylor Swift TikToks is London (UK) with 3.1 million TikTok views. The TikToks, including everything from concert clips to fans miming the lyrics to London Boy as they walk through the city, have earned the city a score of 9.1 out of 10.

Liverpool (UK) completes the top five, amassing 1.9 million views on TikTok for Taylor Swift, giving the city an impressive score of 8.8/10.

With the Eras Tour in full swing and new dates for the UK added for 2024, fellow Swifties are gathering in the masses in Eras Tour Facebook groups. But which cities are the most excited for the tour and have the biggest group of superfans?

Toronto’s (Canada) ‘Wildest Dreams’ have come true, as they take the crown for having the highest number of fans in their Era’s tour Facebook group. The Swiftie city had an impressive 18,500 members in total, giving Toronto a score of 10/10.

Boasting the second-highest number of Taylor stans in their Eras tour Facebook group, is the bustling capital of the UK, with London (UK) having a significant 4,500 members, gaining the city a 9.7/10.

‘Long Live’ Stockholm’s (Sweden) love for Taylor Swift, as the city ranks in third place for its large number of fans in the city’s Era’s tour Facebook group with 1,900 fans, and an overall score of 9.4/10.

Emerging as the city with the fourth-biggest Eras tour Facebook group is Berlin (Germany) with 1,500 fans, it’s safe to say this city ‘screams Taylor’s name’  with a score of 9.1/10.

Paris (France) emerges in fifth place with 1,400 superfans in their Eras tour Facebook group, landing the city with a respectable score of 8.8/10.

Methodology:

The ‘Swiftie Cities’ conducted by the team at Betway reveals which cities in the UK, Europe and Canada are the biggest fans of global pop star Taylor Swift. 

Taking a seedlist of major cities in the UK, Europe and Canada the team ranked each city on a number of factors to discover which cities are officially the biggest ‘Swifties’. The data points include:

• Monthly searches for ‘Taylor Swift x city’ 
• Number of Taylor Swift songs in the Spotify chart between 13th – 19th October
• Highest streak out of all Taylor Swift songs in the chart between 13th – 19th October
• Average peak position of all Taylor Swift songs in the chart between 13th – 19th October
• The number of Taylor Swift dedicated events per city
• TikTok views for ‘Swiftogedden’ club nights per city (UK only)
• TikTok views for ‘Taylor Swift x city’
• The number of members in ‘Eras tour x city’ dedicated Facebook groups 

The team then used a normalised ranking function to score each data point out of 10, which gave each location an overall score out of 80.
