Lots of buzz surrounds the Buffalo Bills (2-0) heading into Week 3 of the NFL season, so bettors need to sort the chatter from reality.<\/p>\n

Are the Bills really the team that has amassed 71 points in two games, led by a quarterback, Josh Allen, who has totalled nine touchdowns so far on his own \u2013 four via the rushing route and five through the air?<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll know soon enough. The Bills host the L.A. Chargers tomorrow, 1 p.m. EST, at the new Highmark Stadium, with a forecast of sun and clouds and 67 degrees.<\/p>\n

Also, looking at tomorrow\u2019s game, are the Chargers (0-2) really this far gone, seemingly failing to grasp offensive coordinator Mike McDaniels\u2019 offence, or is it too early to judge? They can\u2019t be as bad as they\u2019ve appeared so far.<\/p>\n

These two teams are definitely heading in opposite directions. The Chargers have been hurt by turnovers, protection problems, and a pass defence ranked 29ththrough two weeks.<\/p>\n

When focusing on a key matchup, it\u2019s tough to go anywhere else than Allen versus the Chargers\u2019 secondary. Allen has 582 passing yards and has yet to throw an interception.<\/p>\n

That struggling L.A. pass defence will have its hands full with Allen\u2019s ability to extend plays with his scrambling, as well.<\/p>\n

On the Chargers\u2019 side, QB Justin Herbert needs a bounce-back performance after committing three turnovers last week against the Raiders.<\/p>\n

Injuries are obviously a factor. For the Bills, receivers DJ Moore (shoulder) and Keon Coleman (ankle) are game-time decisions. DT Ed Oliver tweaked his hip Sept. 17 against the Lions during pre-game warm-ups and didn\u2019t play, but he practised fully on Friday and is a game-time decision for tomorrow. DT T.J. Sanders underwent an appendectomy and is out.<\/p>\n

On the Chargers side, they\u2019ve ruled out six players, including OT Trey Pipkins III, DT Dalvin Tomlinson and DB Elijah Molden, while Khalil Mack and Rashawn Slater have been cleared to play.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m keeping an eye on Allen, James Cook, Dalton Kincaid and Moore\/Coleman if they play for Buffalo, and Herbert, Omarion Hampton, Ladd McConkey, and Mack as the key names for the Chargers.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"editor_block","content":"

In NFL betting<\/u><\/a> at Betway, the Bills are -350 moneyline favourites, with the Chargers at +275. Buffalo is also favoured by 7.5 points at home, while L.A. is +7.5. The total is set at 50.5, with the over and under at -110.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"editor_block","content":"

At the risk of being a homer, since Buffalo is just down the road from Toronto, I\u2019m going to take Bills -7.5.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s not just my heart telling me that. The Chargers are bad, which is one of the NFL\u2019s early-season shockers.<\/p>\n

Maybe they still turn the season around, but it won\u2019t start tomorrow against the Bills.<\/p>\n

In NFL picks<\/u><\/a> at Betway, the Bills are +700 in Super Bowl futures betting, just behind the L.A. Rams at +600. There\u2019s been more social media chatter this week about how the better AFC team is actually the Kansas City Chiefs (+1200), not the Bills, but that\u2019s a debate for another day.<\/p>\n

The Bills offence has been unstoppable, while the Chargers lost back-to-back home games as favourites to weaker teams.<\/p>\n

Even with Buffalo\u2019s defence giving up 31 points per game, Oliver\u2019s return is a difference maker, and that talent on offence and the home-field advantage is enough to cover the touchdown+.<\/p>\n

That half-point move from -7 to -7.5 is not ideal because 7 is a key number, but the underlying case has not changed.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll also take the over at 50.5, as well.<\/p>\n

Both Bills games have gone over because of their free-wheeling offence and their tendency to give up points.<\/p>\n

Not that the Chargers have been setting the world on fire on offence, but I see a motivated Herbert exploiting that leaky Bills\u2019 secondary for more than 14 points.<\/p>\n

I also have to dip into Allen props for this one. So I\u2019ll lean 250+ passing yards at +130 as the best bet there. That gives you a better balance of price and probability.<\/p>\n

The Chargers have given up 530 passing yards through two games.<\/p>\n

And why not toss in James Cook anytime TD, at -165? Cook has been efficient so far, rushing for 192 yards in two games. Even if the Chargers\u2019 run defence limits his volume, I still see him getting into the end zone when the Bills are close to score.<\/p>\n"},{"acf_fc_layout":"editor_block","content":"
