West Ham’s victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge was comfortably the biggest upset of the weekend.

The Hammers were available at an average price of 9.79 (17/2) to win the game.

Leicester were the most-backed side in the Premier League, with more customers betting on them to win than any other team. They rewarded that faith with a 2-1 win over Everton.

Virgil van Dijk was the highest-priced first goalscorer bet to land. The Dutchman was backed by two customers at 20/1 to open the scoring for Liverpool against Brighton.

The longest in-play bet to come in was a scorecast during Leicester’s win at the King Power. One customer backed Kelechi Iheanacho to score the winner in a 2-1 victory at 33/1.

The biggest winner of the weekend, however, was the one Betway customer who landed the £250k 4 To Score jackpot.

Teemu Pukki, Lys Mousset, Richarlison and Jack Grealish all scored the first goal in their respective matches, sealing an early Christmas present for the winner.

How our tips got on

We landed three win/draw/win tips out of five on Saturday, with Valencia’s 2-1 victory over Villarreal the longest-priced winner at 13/10.

Fiorentina not to beat Lecce was the biggest winner of the day at 15/8, while Andrej Kramaric to score anytime landed at 23/20.

Elsewhere, Adam Drury’s 9/1 BTTS boost came in.

Sunday was another profitable day for our tips, with eight of our 10 picks coming in.

They consisted of three win/draw/win picks out of three – the longest-price being Ajax to beat Twente & BTTS (6/5).

Both teams scored in Manchester United v Aston Villa (4/5) and Wolfsburg v Werder Bremen (4/7), and Arsenal’s failure to beat Norwich also ensured one of the mythbusters landed at 19/20,

Finally, Lautaro Martinez (10/11) and Wout Weghorst (5/4) both bagged goals to ensure both anytime goalscorer tips brought some profit in.
