Here are five football tips that Adam Drury thinks you should consider for Watford v Liverpool on Saturday evening.
Liverpool to win to nil
Prior to Monday’s 3-2 win against West Ham, Liverpool had kept 10 clean sheets in their last 11 league games.
Watford haven’t scored in their last four matches against Liverpool, and were well beaten 3-0 at Manchester United last week.
Sadio Mane to score
Mane scored his 17th goal of the season against West Ham on Monday, and had his 18th marginally ruled out by offside.
He also netted the winner at Norwich a fortnight ago.
Virgil van Dijk to score a header
Van Dijk had three attempts on goal against West Ham, two of which came off his head.
He ranks fourth for xG in Liverpool’s squad in 2020 and comes up against a defence that he scored two headers against last season.
The Hornets also conceded two goals to Everton centre-back Yerry Mina in their last home match.
Christian Kabasele to be carded
An opposition centre-back has been carded in all of Liverpool’s last four Premier League matches.
Kabasele has already been sent off twice this season, so he is the most likely player to continue that streak.
Liverpool (-2) to have most corners
This has landed in nine of Liverpool’s last 12 league games.
The Reds have won 40 corners in their last five league matches, with Watford managing just 16.
