Premier League football tips for Saturday 09 03 19

West Ham to beat Cardiff

Cardiff were beaten 2-0 away to Wolves last weekend and have lost three straight league games.

The Bluebirds have conceded 10 goals and scored just once in that sequence, while influential defender Sol Bamba has been ruled out for the season with injury.

West Ham have beaten relegation candidates Newcastle and Fulham in their last three matches and lost one of their last five league games, against Manchester City.

Huddersfield to win or draw v Bournemouth

Huddersfield beat Wolves 1-0 last time out at the John Smith’s Stadium to end a 15-game winless run in all competitions.

The Terriers followed that with a 1-0 defeat away to Brighton, but they can get at least a point against the side with the fifth-worst travelling record in the Premier League.

Bournemouth have lost each of their last 10 away games in all competitions, scoring just four goals, and have earned just one point in their last five league games.

Leicester to beat Fulham

Fulham have the worst travelling record in the Premier League. They have earned just two points in 15 games on the road all season and are the only side in the division yet to win away.

The Cottagers put in an improved performance in their 2-1 defeat to Chelsea last weekend, but have now lost eight of their last nine league games.

Leicester beat Brighton 2-1 at the King Power last week in their only home game since Claude Puel’s sacking and were only beaten by a stoppage-time goal at Watford last weekend.

Newcastle to win or draw v Everton

Newcastle beat Burnley 2-0 at St James’ Park last week to earn their fourth straight home victory in the league – their best run in a year.

The Magpies have conceded just one goal in that sequence, against Manchester City, and should be backed to claim at least a point against inconsistent opposition.

Everton drew 0-0 at home to Liverpool last weekend, but have beaten only Cardiff, Huddersfield and Bournemouth in their last 10 league games.
