Premier League football tips for Saturday 04 05 19

Back our 8/1 four-fold of football tips from the latest round of fixtures in England's top division.

Southampton to win or draw v West Ham (15:00)

Southampton secured their Premier League survival with back-to-back draws against Bournemouth and Watford.

The Saints have lost just two of their last seven games – away to Newcastle and at home to Liverpool last month – in a sequence that has seen them beat Tottenham and Wolves.

West Ham also took three points off Spurs last weekend, becoming the first away side to take anything from their new stadium, but that was only their first win in five games so they are worth taking on.

Wolves to beat Fulham (15:00)

Second-bottom Fulham’s form has taken a turn since their relegation was confirmed, winning the three games that followed their 4-1 defeat at Watford last month, but that will surely end at Molineux.

The Cottagers had lost each of their previous seven matches and have the worst travelling record in the Premier League, having earned just five points in their 18 games away from Craven Cottage.

Back-to-back victories over Arsenal and Watford have put Wolves in position to claim seventh spot, and they have won eight of their last 10 home games at Molineux.

Crystal Palace to beat Cardiff (17:30)

Crystal Palace beat Arsenal 3-2 at the Emirates in their last away game and come into this with four victories from their last five on the road.

The Eagles’ away record is the sixth-best in the Premier League, so they represent great value against a Cardiff side who have lost 10 out of 18 at home.

The hosts have taken just seven points from their last nine league games at the Cardiff City Stadium and could be relegated with another defeat on Saturday.

Liverpool to beat Newcastle (19:45)

Liverpool were beaten 3-0 away to Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek, but their domestic form is faultless.

Jurgen Klopp’s side coasted to a 5-0 victory at home to Huddersfield last Friday, their seventh victory on the spin, while they are unbeaten in 15.

Newcastle were held to a 1-1 draw at out-of-form Brighton last Saturday, and have taken just three points from their 11 games against the top six.
