Jack Green's football tips for Sunday's game at St James' Park cover the result, goals, corners, a goalscorer and a player to be carded.
Manchester United to win
United are yet to win away in the Premier League this season, but a trip to St James’ Park should put an end to that run.
Newcastle were thrashed 5-0 by Leicester last week and have made a poor start to the season, taking five points from eight matches.
Under 2.5 goals
Newcastle have managed to keep it tight in their home matches. They’ve scored just one goal at St James’ Park in the Premier League and only conceded twice.
United haven’t scored more than once in any of their last eight matches in all competitions so, while they should win on Sunday, a hammering is unlikely.
Daniel James to score
Sadio Mane scored twice when Newcastle played Liverpool last month and they could struggle against another pacy left winger on Sunday.
James has already scored three goals in his first Premier League season and was United’s brightest attacking player against Arsenal on Monday night.
Over 4.5 Newcastle corners
Newcastle have taken at least five corners in all three of their Premier League home games this season.
They should reach that total against United, who conceded seven to Arsenal last time out.
Fabian Schar to be carded
Schar picked up 12 bookings in the Premier League last term despite making just 24 appearances.
The Swiss defender was shown his first a yellow card of the season against Leicester last week and could be in for a tricky game against a quick, young United attack.
