Here are Adam Drury‘s football betting tips for Newcastle v Man City on Tuesday evening.
Man City to win to nil
City have kept six consecutive clean sheets and should have no problem extending that run against an impotent Newcastle.
Rafa Benitez’s side failed to score at home to a much-changed Watford on Saturday – their sixth blank of the season at St James’ Park – and have lost four of the last five home games against City to nil.
Raheem Sterling to score
Sterling has not been required off the bench in either of City’s last two matches against Burton and Burnley, and he can make his nine-day rest count here.
The 23-year-old had scored in two of his three previous starts, including at Huddersfield last time out, and got the winner in this fixture last season.
Leroy Sane to score
Sane has also been out of action since he scored in the 3-0 win at Huddersfield last weekend.
The German has netted in three of his last five matches overall and will be even more dangerous with the returning David Silva likely to combine with him down the left-hand side.
Matt Ritchie to be carded
Ritchie has picked up seven cards this season, including six in the Premier League.
The midfielder ranks joint-third for fouls in the league so far this term, suggesting that more cards will follow, while an opposition midfielder has been carded in four of City’s last six league matches.
DeAndre Yedlin to be carded
Yedlin has picked up four yellow cards and a red this season, and he is a nice bet to join Ritchie in the referee’s book here.
The American ranks second for fouls in the Newcastle squad, a tendency that could land him in trouble up against Sane.
