Here are Will Rook‘s football betting tips for Manchester United v Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Paul Pogba to score

Pogba has scored nine goals in 12 appearances under caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, including four in four Premier League matches at Old Trafford.

He averages 3.4 shots per match – the fourth-best ratio of anyone to have played over 20 league games – and is the club’s first-choice penalty taker as well.

Mohamed Salah to score

Salah is rarely available at this price to score, so it’s worth backing him when he is.

The Egyptian has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season, including 10 in his last 11 league appearances, and boasts the best xG of any player in the Premier League.

Luke Shaw to be carded

Shaw has picked up 10 yellow cards in 29 appearances for club and country this season, including eight in the league.

That makes him the equal-third most carded player in the Premier League and, against Liverpool’s dynamic front three, he is a tasty price to be cautioned.

Ander Herrera to be carded

Herrera’s rustling antics are well known and this feels like his perfect stage.

The Spaniard has booked five times already this season, including against Paris Saint-Germain in his last home game, and it would be no surprise to see him in the referee’s notebook again.

A red card to be shown

This fiery rivalry has produced 198 cards in the Premier League era, while Manchester United have the division’s worst disciplinary record this season.

With the atmosphere on the pitch and in the stands sure to be tense, it’d be no surprise if someone from either side oversteps the mark.
