Here are Jack Green‘s football tips for Everton v Liverpool on Sunday.
Liverpool to win
Liverpool seemed to get over a shaky run of form by thrashing Watford 5-0 on Wednesday night, and should beat an Everton side that have lost four of their last six league games.
Jurgen Klopp has never lost a Merseyside derby and that won’t change this weekend.
Sadio Mane to score first
Everton haven’t opened the scoring in a Merseyside derby since the 2012 FA Cup semi-final, so it’s safe to assume Liverpool will break the deadlock this weekend.
Mane found the net twice inside the first 20 minutes against Watford in midweek, and has now scored the first goal in four of the Reds’ last five league games.
Under 4.5 Everton corners
Everton took just one corner at Anfield earlier this season, and another low tally looks likely this time around.
The Toffees have averaged just over three corners per game in their last six meetings with top-six teams.
Kurt Zouma to be carded
Zouma will be back in the Everton side on Sunday, having missed their midweek win over Cardiff through suspension after being sent off after the final whistle against Watford.
The centre-back was shown two yellow cards at Vicarage Road, taking his tally to five for the season, all of which have come in his last six appearances.
