Here are five football tips Jack Green thinks you should consider for Arsenal v Man Utd on New Year’s Day.
Manchester United to win or draw
Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea means they have lost four successive home matches, and have only won one of their last 15 games dating back to the end of October.
United have won six of their last eight in all competitions, and should take at least a point at the Emirates.
BTTS & over 2.5 goals
Arsenal have conceded at least twice in seven of their last eight home matches. Crystal Palace, Southampton, Brighton and Vitoria Guimaraes are among the sides that have put two past the Gunners during that run.
Arsenal have scored in all but one of their 14 home games this season, though, and should find a way past a United defence that has kept just one clean sheet in eight away from home.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score
Aubameyang has scored in back-to-back games and remains the Gunners’ only consistent performer this season.
The Arsenal captain has also scored in his last three matches against Manchester United.
Anthony Martial to score
Martial found the net against Burnley on Saturday, meaning he’s now scored four goals in his last four appearances in all competitions.
The Frenchman has scored in two of his last three appearances against Arsenal and is a good price to do so again on New Year’s Day.
Over 4.5 cards
Arsenal could pass this mark on their own after being shown five yellow cards in Sunday’s defeat to Chelsea.
The Gunners have the worst disciplinary record in the Premier League, with 17 bookings in total across their last two matches.
