Here are Jack Green‘s football betting tips for Arsenal v Chelsea on Saturday evening.
Arsenal to win or draw
Although they’ve struggled of late, Arsenal have won eight and drawn two of their 10 home league games since an opening-day defeat to Manchester City, and should take at least a point from the visit of Chelsea.
The Gunners are unbeaten in five matches against the Blues at the Emirates, including a 2-1 win when these sides last met here in January 2018.
Chelsea to score first
Chelsea have scored the first goal in eight of their 10 Premier League away matches this season, so they look a good bet to open the scoring on Saturday.
Arsenal’s first-half struggles are well-documented, and they’ve conceded the first goal in five of their 11 Premier League matches at the Emirates to date.
Eden Hazard to score
Hazard is without a goal in five matches, but a trip to Arsenal should be just what he needs to end his mini scoring drought.
The Belgian has scored in two of his last three starts against the Gunners, and is likely to lead the line for Chelsea if Gonzalo Higuain doesn’t sign in time for Saturday’s game.
Granit Xhaka to be carded
Only Jefferson Lerma and Jose Holebas have been booked more than Xhaka in the Premier League this season, and three of the Arsenal midfielder’s seven yellow cards have come in his last seven appearances.
Xhaka’s been booked in each of his last three matches against other top-six sides, and saw yellow against Chelsea earlier this season.
