Here are Adam Drury‘s football betting tips for Manchester City v Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester City to win to nil

City may have kept fewer clean sheets than expected recently, but the fact they’ve only conceded more than once in one Premier League home match this season suggests they’ve hardly been poor at the back.

Pep Guardiola’s side conceded from the one clear opportunity they afforded Arsenal last week before winning to nil at Everton, while their defence is the league’s best in terms of xG against.

Chelsea, who are without a goal in three away games, could struggle to create enough to score.

Kevin de Bruyne to score

Pep Guardiola described Kevin de Bruyne’s nine-minute cameo at Everton on Tuesday as “incredible”, so there seems little doubt that he will start this match.

The Belgian scored decisive goals against Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham last season, and has hit the net in three of his last six home appearances since returning from injury this term.

Over 4.5 cards

This fixture has a history of feistiness, with three of the last six Premier League meetings between the two producing four or more cards, including two seasons ago when there were five yellows and two reds.

Given that Mike Dean – who averages 4.9 cards per Premier League game this season, including nine reds in 19 matches – takes charge of this one, then the potential for more seems high.

Jorginho to be carded

Perhaps the likeliest candidate is Jorginho, who could regularly find himself exposed by City’s three or four-man midfield on Sunday.

The Italian has received seven cards for club and country this season, and ranks in the top four for fouls and tackles in the Chelsea squad.
