Betway writers’ 4 to score picks for Saturday 04 05 19

Our writers predict the first scorer in these Premier League matches for our free-to-play football predictions game.

4 To Score is Betway’s free-to-play football predictions game, where you can win a jackpot of £75k by correctly predicting the first player to score in our four selected matches.

To help you make your picks, our writers reveal who they think will break the deadlock in the Premier League this weekend.

West Ham v Southampton: Marko Arnautovic

Arnautovic has not scored since January, but his much-improved display in West Ham’s win over Spurs last weekend suggests that barren run will end soon.

The Austria international netted a double in this fixture last season and is a good choice to open the scoring this time around.

Guy Giles

Newcastle v Liverpool: Sadio Mane

A boring pick, but the right one.

Mane is Liverpool’s second-highest scorer with 20 league goals and has netted 12 times in his last 13 Premier League appearances.

The Senegalese has opened the scoring on six occasions in that time and, given that the Reds have kept three straight clean sheets, he looks the best bet to do so again.

Will Rook

Chelsea v Watford: Eden Hazard

Watford are without a clean sheet in 12 matches and have conceded 14 goals in five away games against the top six this season, so side with a Chelsea player here.

The Blues have scored at least twice in six of their last seven matches at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard grabbed a brace at Vicarage Road earlier in the season and has netted in three of his last four home league games.

Adam Drury

Huddersfield v Man Utd: Paul Pogba

With Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku injury doubts and Anthony Martial out of favour, Pogba is the obvious pick.

The Frenchman is United’s top scorer in the league this season with 13 goals, seven of which have been penalties. He is also one of the few United players who is certain to start the match.
