Phoenix Suns (-1.5) vs Philadelphia 76ers
This should be a great game between two title contenders, with Phoenix the team likeliest to come out on top.
The Suns’ 41-16 record sees them second in the Western Conference, and they’re an NBA-leading 18-7 on the road.
Although the Sixers are a formidable team at home, they’re coming off a 107-96 defeat to the Golden State Warriors on their own court and are just 14-11 against Western Conference teams this season, while the Suns are 17-6 against the East.
New York Knicks (-1.5) vs Atlanta Hawks
This is a crucial game in the Eastern Conference playoff picture as fourth-place Atlanta travels to fifth-place New York.
The Knicks are the hottest team in the NBA at present, having won seven consecutive games, the last five all by a margin of eight points or more.
The Hawks have won eight of their last 10 games but have played mostly at home over the past two weeks. They are 16-15 on the road this season, while the Knicks’ 19-10 home record is the third-best in the conference.
Los Angeles Clippers (-4.5) Memphis Grizzlies
The Clippers have won nine of their last 10 games, with their only defeat in that period being a narrow 106-103 loss to the East-leading 76ers.
Expect Los Angeles to continue its charge towards the top of the Western Conference by beating the Grizzlies, who have been on a decent run since the All-Star break but lost four of their last seven.
The Clippers are 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, and 12 of their last 15 wins have come by a margin of at least nine points.
Denver Nuggets (-2.5) vs Portland Trail Blazers
Denver is looking like a title contender after winning 11 of its last 13 games, including three straight.
The Nuggets are 17-10 on the road this season and 20-12 in conference games, and they should maintain their strong run of results against a slumping Portland team.
The Trail Blazers are 3-7 over their last 10 games, a run that includes blowout defeats to the Bucks, Clippers and Jazz.
