Los Angeles Clippers (-9.5) vs Detroit Pistons
The Clippers are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, having won 11 of their last 13 games, including six straight.
Nine of those 11 wins came by a margin of at least 10 points, and another double-digit blowout looks likely when Los Angeles plays Detroit on Wednesday.
The Pistons are bottom of the Eastern Conference and have gone 6-12 since the All-Star break, with five of their last six defeats coming by a margin of 14 points or more.
Memphis Grizzlies (+2.5) vs Dallas Mavericks
Memphis has won five of its last seven games to climb to eighth in the Western Conference, and it should at least keep this one very close against a Dallas team that lost by 18 on Monday.
The Mavericks have been in good form since All-Star Weekend, but they’ve now lost three of their last four games and are 6-4 over their last 10.
This looks to be a close match-up, but the Grizzlies’ home advantage and superior form should give them the edge, so it’s worth taking the points.
Denver Nuggets (-5) vs Miami Heat
The Heat have been steadily climbing the standings in the East, but they lost by 20 to the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday and now face a tough test on the road in Denver with no rest day in between.
Although they’ve lost their last two games, the Nuggets have been one of the league’s best teams since the end of February, winning 17 of 22 games, including nine of 12 at home.
Denver is 16-8 against Eastern Conference teams this season and beat Miami 109-82 when these teams last met in January.
Washington Wizards (-1.5) vs Sacramento Kings
The Wizards have been one of the NBA’s worst teams all season but have shown some signs of improvement recently, going 5-5 over their last 10 games, including three wins in their last four.
Despite having one of the worst records in the league (20-33), Washington has actually been pretty good against teams from the West this season, going 12-10 against teams from the supposedly stronger conference.
They should win this meeting with the Kings, who have lost seven games in a row, with six of those defeats coming by a margin of seven points or more.
